Luz Moreno was born in 1989 in Spain. She studied design and scenography at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, then at the Aalto Design School in Helsinki where she specialized in textile fibers and finally at the École Supérieure d'Art and Design de Reims she became interested in edible fibres. In 2019 she won the Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto (Japan). Since 2016, his work has been exhibited many times both in France and abroad. Luz Moreno is interested through her research in our relationship to architecture and nature.
Luz Moreno leads a reflection on the relationship between the living, nature, movement, time, archeology, architecture as well as the ecosystems that fill the space. Through the practice of drawing, sculpture, installation, cooking and performance, she seeks a way to bring to life the interconnections between all organisms. She weaves stories of lives like a weaver. Thus its goal is to connect space, time and these organisms. Luz creates installations that speak their language by giving a very important place to research and history, by producing spaces and series of objects that will become tools for moments of sharing or reflection such as discussions. This enriching experience is always at the heart of its projects, which take shape with human and territorial encounters.
